VAM in Tanzania
VAM-Tz is registered in Tanzania and is run by a group of volunteers who are dedicated to helping their less fortunate sisters. VAM-Tz has developed a self-sustainability program for 3 villages in rural Tanzania: Lake Zone, Mwanza; East Coast, Kibaha; Southern Highland, Mbeya.
The Director and Zone Coordinators concentrate on the development of small businesses and vocational training programs such as, poultry raising, rug weaving, bread baking, jewelry making and growing peanuts.
These members are learning to run businesses that will help them to support themselves and their families, which will help move them towards becoming economic leaders in their communities.
Future Plans
- Continue to offer vocational training for women
- Help increasing numbers of women establish businesses
- Build a well in each village
- Build a centrally located school for the regions

VAM is a 501(c)3 Organization
VAM is an NGO in Special Consultative Status with ECOSOC
