Strong African Woman with a child

LOOKING FOR A SPEAKER FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION?

NANA-FOSU RANDALL DELIVERS A MOVING SPEECH TO INFORM YOUR AUDIENCE ABOUT THE PLIGHT OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN WHO ARE THE VICTIMS OF WAR, INCLUDING INSPIRING POSITIVE SUGGESTIONS ABOUT HOW YOU TOO CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Nana-Fosu Randall was born in Kumasi, Ghana. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an MBA in Finance. For nearly 30 years she worked with the United Nations field missions, the last 18 years as the Chief Financial Officer with the Peace Keeping forces. During that time she was one of the people responsible for the rebuilding and clean-up efforts following war and conflict situations in Tanzania, Namibia, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Israel, Lebanon, and in Kuwait and Iraq from 1991 to 1993 during the Gulf War. She has seen much suffering during her service with the UN and has grown to believe that there is an alternative to war; the promotion of peace, the sharing of resources and the creation of understanding among all people.

In 2004, Nana and a group of her friends founded Voices of African Mothers (VAM). The goal of VAM is to help bring about peace through the women of Africa. VAM wants women to possess a full range of educational opportunities to help them attain economic empowerment and become decision-making leaders in their countries. VAM works to establish a peaceful African Continent by using the methods of conflict resolution and diplomacy. It seeks to identify the causes of ethnic, religious and inter-communal conflict and to find practical and civil ways to mediate and promote peaceful cooperation
