VAM Outreach in Uganda

Kabuhome Primary School at Ntaburiza Village Ntungamo District of Uganda

Board Members of VAM were invited to visit a primary school in a remote area of Uganda by His Excellency Perezi Kamunanwire, Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to the United States and Mrs. Carolyn Kamunanwire, who is a member of the VAM Advisory Board.

The school accommodates 375 children and the building was divided into two classrooms. The children sat on dirt floors with only a notebook and pencil on their laps and a small blackboard on the wall in the front of the class to aid in their education.

Inspired to help, VAM has raised donations to provide them with desks, benches, books and school supplies. In addition, 375 pairs of sneakers were donated to VAM for the children.
