VAM Tanzania (VAM-Tz)

In 2007, VAM Board Members from the U.S. traveled to Tanzania to participate in the inauguration celebration of VAM-Tz is a registered non-profit organization in Tanzania that has developed a self-sustainability program for 3 villages in rural Tanzania: Lake Zone/Mwanza; East Coast/Kibaha; and Southern Highland/Mbeya. The VAM-Tz director and Zone Coordinators concentrate on the development of small businesses and vocational training programs such as, poultry raising, rug weaving, bread baking, jewelry making and growing peanuts.

These members are learning to run businesses that will help them to support themselves and their families, which will help move them towards becoming economic leaders in their communities.
